<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball machine making a player feel tension and a technical intervention degree during a special game such as a big win. <P>SOLUTION: This pinball machine finds the number of retained balls of continuing a big win round by a lottery (S26) and, when the number increases more than that of starting the big win, finishes the big win round (from S28 to S34). However, this machine determines a threshold of the number of retained balls being retainable thereafter and, when it is impossible to retain balls more than that, provides a big win of continuing the rounds by a fixed number of times (from S22 to S25). Even if it does not reach the number of retained balls for continuing the round, this machine finishes it when reaching a predetermined fixed number of rounds (S31). A symbol display device displays a message to notify the player big win finishing conditions (S27).
