<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport stream multiplexer for controlling a transport stream not to be failed even when a bit rate is fluctuated due to a fault of a transmission channel or the like so as to quickly restore the reception state. <P>SOLUTION: The transport stream multiplexer includes: a packet type discrimination section 1 for detecting a type of a packet from an input transport stream; a packet abort control section 5 for aborting a particular packet from the input transport stream and outputting the result; a buffer memory section 7 for temporarily storing an output of the packet abort control section 5; a buffer memory monitor section 6 for monitoring a storage amount of the buffer memory section 7; and a multiplexing control section 9 for multiplexing outputs of the buffer memory section 7, and controls the packet abort control section 5 with outputs from the packet type discrimination section 1 and the buffer memory monitor section 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
