PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a lamp position in a vertical condition with no possibility of spoiling lamp attaching/detaching property and the safety in attaching/detaching while suppressing cost. SOLUTION: In this lamp socket wherein a socket main body 1 has a pair of insert holes 21, recessed parts 30 provided just under the insert holes, a pair of contact segments 5 arranged in the recessed parts and electrically connected with tube pins 11 of the lamp 10 inserted from the insert holes 21 and an energization member 4 which energizing the contact segments, the lamp 10 is supported detachably by pushing the tube pins 11 from the insertion hole 21 resisting to the energizing force of the energization member 4 by manual operation to be contacted with the corresponding face of the contact segment 5, the socket main body 1 is provided with a pair of mounting hole 23 from the upper surface and a pair of elastic wire members 6 mounted on the mounting hole 23 by inserting from above and arranged in nearly parallel on the upper surface of the socket main body. The pair of elastic wire members 6 abut counter parts on the opposite side face of a sealing part 10a of a lower part of the lamp to vertically corrects the position of the supported lamp 10.
