PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device having very high storing density. SOLUTION: The data storage device (110) comprises a conductive probe (112) having a tip, and a data storage medium (116) comprising a substrate (114) and a layer (118) made of ferroelectric material to which polarity adjustment is carried out.
