PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording media cartridge for discriminating the presence of the disassembly/reassembly of a case for accommodating recording media. SOLUTION: An erroneous erasure prevention plug 74 is restricted so that it cannot move to a case 12 at a welding section W1 in the case 12 in which upper and lower cases 16, 18 formed in a container with a bottom shape each are joined and the recording media is accommodated in a recording tape cartridge 10. When the upper and lower cases 16, 18 are separated, the erroneous erasure prevention plug 74 becomes a movable member to the case 12 since an arm section 80 is engaged with a guide piece 66 for breaking the welding section W1 and hence the restriction state of the arm section 80 to the case 12 is released. The erroneous erasure prevention plug 74 is exposed so that it can be operated from an operation hole 62 of the case 12, thus discriminating whether or not the case 12 had been disassembled/reassembled depending on whether the plug 74 is movable to the case 12 by operation.
