PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player which can save plural sheets of disks after completing playbacks of the disks by performing readout scannings of the disks and which does not require a user to remove and take out every one disk after the playback at the time of replacement of a disk. SOLUTION: In this player, a disk D which is set to a tray 3 for readout which is taken in and out from an opening of the case 2 of a player body and to which the readout scanning is performed by a pickup while being rotated with a turntable 19 is housed in a tray 4 for housing and the tray 3 for readout is arranged at the upper side in the case and the tray 4 for housing is arranged at the lower side of the tray 3 and both trays 3, 4 are taken in and out respectively from openings established in up and down positions of the front side of the case and moreover a vertical transfer mechanism 5 which is arranged to face downward from the upper wall 2c of the case and a chucking mechanism 6 which grasps and raises the disk D to which the readout scanning is performed in the tray 3 for readout to both sides of the left and the right of the side of the undersurface of the vertical transfer mechanism 5 and drops the disk D after the readout scanning into the tray 4 for housing of the lower side after taking out the tray 3 from the opening of the upper side while grasping the disk to house the disk in the tray 4 are arranged to the tray 3.
