PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of being downsized to easily reduce the depth size of an outlet, and improving an installation workability such as the ensure of a connection workability to an optical fiber even at a narrow working space when working the outlet. SOLUTION: The optical connector is provided with a ferrule 2 in which a minute hole 9 is formed, an incorporated optical fiber 6 which is beforehand provided on the joint tip surface side of the minute hole 9 of the ferrule 2, a housing 5 which stores the ferrule 2 and a fixing means 4 which fixes a coating section 7c of an optical fiber 7 that is inserted into the minute hole 9 from the back tip side opposing the joint tip surface of the ferrule 2. The incorporated optical fiber 6 is internally fixed to the minute hole 9 within the range from the joint tip surface of the ferrule 2 to the middle of the minute hole 9. The optical fiber 7, that is inserted into the minute hole 9, is abutted and connected to the incorporated optical fiber 6 in the minute hole 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
