PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reliable optical fiber pigtail 6, in which there is no need for working a ferrule support 2 at high precision, in which the breakage of a ferrule 1, generation of cracks, or deformation of the ferrule support body, and the problem of the insertion force do not arise, and in which the accumulation of air is not generated in an adhesive 5, when the optical fiber pigtail 6 is made. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber fixing member, in which the ferrule support having a through hole is jointed to the rear end of the ferrule having an axial hole, a through hole ferrule mount side, provided to the ferrule support, has a shape that connects obliquely with the side of an optical fiber insertion part, while leaving a straight part from the side, where the ferrule is jointed.
