PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a cylinder block and its structure for using parts in common when manufacturing the cylinder block and setting connecting rod ratio within the optimum scope. SOLUTION: In this cylinder block manufacturing method, a plurality of kinds of cylinder blocks having different displacement are manufactured by changing length of a cylinder by machining a deck face when manufacturing the cylinder block constituted through combination of a cylinder structural body provided with a flange part surrounding the cylinder and a part of the outer periphery of the cylinder and forming the deck face by an end face of the cylinder and an end face of a block main body belonging to substantially the same plane and a block main body provided with a storage part storing the cylinder.
