PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the doorway width more than the module size without a change in module width of the sliding door or without increase in outer width of a frame exceeding the module size in the case of enlarging the doorway width more than the module size even in a structure using the sliding door of the module size. SOLUTION: This sliding door device includes: a frame body 2 constituting an opening part 4; the sliding door 5 of the module size disposed to freely reciprocate so that the opening part 4 is partially taken as a doorway 1; and a counterfort 3 for storing the sliding door 5 therein. An auxiliary door 6 for adjusting the width of the sliding door 5 according to the doorway width (d) is removably attached to either a door stop part 5a or a door end 5b side of the sliding door 4 of the module size.
