PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing simply a blast furnace coke which has a small dispersion in property such as strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing a blast furnace coke is a method in which at least one specific brand of raw material coal is mixed at a rate of 30 mass% or more to carbonize so that as few as possible kinds of coals may be mixed, wherein at least one highly expansive coal having an expansion pressure of 10 kPa or more is mixed and controlled in particle size to reduce the variation in coke strength.
