PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosive composition which has a charging specific gravity higher than that of the conventional ANFO (ammonium nitrate-fuel oil) explosive, has remarkably improved work effect as well as crushing effect, and capable of attaining the increase in the efficiency of piercing operation by the expansion of piercing space without damaging the advantages of low explosion sensitivity and easy treatability in the ANFO explosive. SOLUTION: The explosive composition comprising two or more kinds of porous prill ammonium nitrate and fuel oil with different mean particle diameters has a bulk density of≥0.80.
