<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface potential control method for a photoreceptor which is adaptable to the uncertainty that the characteristics and surface potential properties of the photoreceptor cannot be stabilized by repeating an image forming process and to the above uncertainty due to environmental variation such as humidity or temperature variation, and by which stabler image formation can be performed on the first time and on and after the second time. <P>SOLUTION: The first charge output and development output are controlled to be 1/6 to 2/3 of each output on and after the second outputs. If grid voltage in the first rotation is lowered, in accordance with the lowering of the surface potential of the photoreceptor in the first rotation, unevenness diminishes. When a grid output ratio falls below 2/3, unevenness ΔV in the surface potential of the photoreceptor becomes smaller than ΔDV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
