<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image displaying device capable of displaying an accurate scale at a desired part in a three-dimensional image; and to provide a three-dimensional image display system, a three-dimensional display method, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: Based on a parallax original image for left and right eyes obtained from an object, display is made so that the image light of a parallax image for left eyes including an index for left eyes and a parallax image for right eyes including an index for right eyes separately are incident on each eye of an observer, thus allowing the observer to perform the stereoscopic vision of a three-dimensional image including a three-dimensional index based on the parallax of the indexes of left and right eyes from the parallax of the parallax images for left and right eyes. After that, a position in the object corresponding to the position of the three-dimensional index specified based on each position of the indexes for left and right eyes is obtained, and a scale value in the three-dimensional image is calculated from the scale value of actual dimensions at the position in the object.
