PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a prior art piezoelectric oscillator and a manufacturing method thereof wherein a part of a piezoelectric oscillating board touches the concave portion interior wall of a case body when a position deviation in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction occurs at a time of mounting the piezoelectric oscillating board, since an interval between the piezoelectric oscillating board mounted within the piezoelectric oscillator and a wall or a bottom within the case body concave portion becomes remarkably narrower as the piezoelectric oscillator becomes smaller and thinner, which exerts a harmful influence on an oscillating characteristic of the piezoelectric oscillating board. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric oscillator, a support is placed near an electrode pad for element connection formed on a bottom of a case body concave portion, a piezoelectric oscillating board is placed on a top of the support; an electrically conductive adhesive is coated on a connecting electrode film and the electrode pad for element connection; a cover of an insulation material is placed at a position where at least an area, in which the connecting electrode film of the piezoelectric oscillating board and the electrically conductive adhesive coated are covered; and intervals among the cover, the piezoelectric oscillating board, the support and the electrode pad for element connection are fixed by the electrically conductive adhesive.
