PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight fishing rod like a single-handedly maneuverable lure rod, limited in total weight and having a well-balanced grip part so as to maximally improve maneuverability. SOLUTION: This fishing rod has such a construction that the grip part 2 is provided behind a maneuvering part L1 mounted with a reel 50, wherein the grip part 2 has a lower-specific gravity region L3 on the front side and a higher-specific gravity region L4 behind the region L3.
