PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a wig in multicolored stages, by dyeing a tuft of hair of the wig in the multicolored stages. SOLUTION: This method includes processes (1) to (3) as follows: (1) the hair is preliminarily treated with an acid solution and dried; (2) the dried hair is soaked in an aqueous solution comprising 20-40 wt% of oxydol, 15-25 wt% of sodium pyrophosphate, and 5-15 wt% of ammonia water and bleached, so that the hair which is intended to be dyed has a lightly colored pattern; and (3) a part of the bleached hair which is not intended to be dyed is enclosed and closely sealed and a part of the bleached hair which is intended to be dyed is exposed, then the part of the hair which is exposed is soaked in an aqueous solution of a dyeing agent, so that the hair is dyed in the multicolored stages. An aqueous solution comprising 20-35 wt% of sulfuric acid and 55-75 wt% of sodium hypochlorite is ordinarily used as the acid solution in the process (1). A neutral dye is used as the dyeing agent. Thus, color of the hair is natural and seems to be genuine. Further, coloration of the hair by the dyeing agent is durable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
