PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rail fixing device for an elevator capable of receiving a load acting on a guide rail without causing a problem when an emergency stop device functions. SOLUTION: This guide rail fixing device for the elevator comprises the guide rail 2 vertically installed in a hoistway 1, a plurality of construction lateral beams 6 installed on the wall surface of the hoistway 1 so that their longitudinal direction faces in the horizontal direction, and a column material 4 formed to be extended in the longitudinal direction and fixedly installed across the plurality of construction lateral beams 6. The guide rail 2 is supported by the plurality of construction lateral beams 6 through the column material 4. Also, the guide rail 2 is joined to the column material 4 through a batten 3.
