PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal defoamer capable of separating even a liquid with high viscosity into an air foam and a liquid with a high accuracy, and allowing easy handling and easy disassembly and assembly. SOLUTION: Near the rotating center of a rotor 2 constituted in a shield container and rotating around the center of a rotary shaft extending in a vertical direction, an inner cylinder 6 having a foam liquid in-take 9 near the lower end and forming a foam liquid passage 15 through which a foam liquid in the rotor 2 passes and a double hollow shaft 3 in an outer cylinder 7 forming a stock solution passage 16 supplying a stock solution from a stock solution supplying opening 10 into the rotor 2 are installed in a vertical direction, and a separation plate 11 is installed at a higher level than the stock solution supplying opening of the outer cylinder. The stock solution fed from the stock solution passage 16 is separated into a foam liquid and a defoamed liquid by the rotor 2, the foam liquid is discharged from a foam liquid passage 15, the movement of air bubbles is restricted by the separation plate, and only the defoamed liquid is discharged through a defoamed liquid discharging part 27 formed between the separation plate 11 and the rotor 2.
