RATIO TAG READER, RATIO TAG MODULE USED FOR IT, ARTICLE WITH RATIO TAG, AND STORAGE BOX FOR STORING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reading efficiency of a ratio tag by storing a lot of articles each having the ratio tag affixed thereto in a storage box at a time, and to simplify a structure.

SOLUTION: A lot of postal envelopes 2 each having the ratio tag 3 affixed thereto are stored in the storage box 1 by arranging them face to face with each other. A reader antenna 9 connected to an interrogator 7 via a coaxial cable 8 is disposed under the storage box 1. Maximum gain directions of the ratio tags 3 affixed to the respective postal envelopes 2 are uniformly directed to the reader antenna 9. The respective postal envelopes 2 contained in the storage box 1 are arranged face to face with each other in a direction orthogonal to the maximum directions of the ratio tags 3. The maximum gain direction of the reader antenna 9 is oriented toward a base end surface of the storage box 1. Therefore, the maximum gain directions of the ratio tags 3 are opposed to the maximum gain direction of the reader antenna 9.
