<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for properly adjusting the rolling positions of reduction rolls in a three-roll mandrel mill. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling position adjusting device 100 is equipped with a thickness measuring unit 1 and a rolling position control unit 2. The thickness measuring unit 1 has a plurality of radiation sources, and a plurality of detectors of which each is placed in opposition to each radiation source via a material T to be rolled, and measures the thickness of the material T to be rolled, at a position corresponding to the groove bottom of each of reduction rolls R5 and R6. The rolling position control unit 2 calculates a deviation between each of the measured thicknesses and a target thickness, and controls pressuring units P5 and P6 for the reduction rolls R5 and R6 respectively according to each of the calculated deviations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
