PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit which determines with respect to a viewing channel of an electronic apparatus, having a digital interface that can be connected to a network. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus is provided with an input video apparatus determining means (130) that uses a digital interface to determine an input video apparatus connected with a display device; a tuning information acquiring means (140) that uses the digital interface, to acquire the tuning information of the determined input video apparatus; and a channel-determining means (110) that determines the channel being watched, on the basis of the acquired tuning information.
