PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment and its asynchronous communication method capable of automatically establishing asynchronous communications between a plurality of CPUs that operate at different speeds. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment has a detection means 8 for detecting a maximum communication speed at which communication is possible in an initial state, a storage means 10 for storing the maximum communication speed detected by the detection means, and a communication control means 6 which performs asynchronous communications based on the maximum communication speed stored in the storage means in the initial state.
