PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed estimation device obtaining a high-accuracy vehicle speed, and to detect simultaneous decompression of all wheels by use of the vehicle speed. SOLUTION: This device has: a means detecting a lateral acceleration of a vehicle; a means detecting a yaw rate of the vehicle; a means detecting a roll angle of the vehicle; and a speed estimation calculation means estimating the vehicle speed from the lateral acceleration, the yaw rate and the roll angle. Alternatively, the device has: the means detecting the lateral acceleration of the vehicle; the means detecting the yaw rate of the vehicle; and a speeed estimation calculation means estimating the vehicle speed from the lateral acceleration and the yaw rate. The tire pressure decrease detection method includes: a process for comparing the estimated vehicle speed with the vehicle speed calculated from a wheel speed; and a process for deciding air pressure decrease of a tire on the basis of a result of the comparison. Alternatively, the air pressure decrease of the tire is decided on the basis of a result obtained by comparing a value obtained by multiplying the yaw rate by the wheel speed with the lateral acceleration.
