PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of improving the efficiency of a refrigerating cycle by cooling a freezing space and a cooling space at evaporation temperatures of coolers according to the respective storage temperatures, and further enhancing the efficiency of refrigerant flow control by controlling the switching and flow rate of a refrigerant passage by a selector valve. SOLUTION: The refrigerating cycle is formed of a two-stage compressor 9 including a compression element composed of a low stage-side compression part and a high stage-side compression part, the selector valve 11 for controlling the flow rate with the refrigerant passage provided on the outlet side of a condenser 10 for receiving a gas discharged from the compressor, and a freezing cooler 4 and a cooling cooler 5 connected to the selector valve through pressure reducing devices 12 and 13, respectively. A suction pipe 15 from the refrigerating cooler is connected to the compressor to suck the refrigerant gas to a suction port of the low stage-side compression part, and the refrigerant gas sucked by introducing a suction pipe 17 from the cooling cooler into the compressor is sucked to the high stage-side compression part of the compressor with the refrigerant gas discharged from a discharge port of the low stage-side compression part followed by compressing and discharging.
