PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial-agent-containing plastic film or sheet excellent in antibacterial properties. SOLUTION: The plastic film or sheet is prepared by using a plastic material and an antibacterial agent composed of metal or metal oxide particles having a particle size of 0.1-15μm. The plastic material is mixed with the antibacterial agent in a quantity of 0.1-10 wt.% and molded by a suitable molding means, such as extrusion or calendering, into a film or sheet with a thickness of 15-3,000μm. The metal or metal oxide particles are used as the antibacterial agent; and in order to control the wetting properties of the plastic material, a substance having a surface energy somewhat less than that of the metal or metal oxide particles is mixed into the agent.
