PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent non-drying and over-drying in a clothes drier. SOLUTION: The clothes drier comprises a temperature difference detection means 27 for detecting the temperature difference of air before and after it is applied to clothes, an ambient temperature detection means 28 for detecting an ambient temperature, an arithmetic means 29 for deciding a reference temperature difference corresponding to the ambient temperature, a judging means 30 for judging that drying is ended at the point of time at which the temperature difference becomes the reference temperature difference or less, and a control means 31 for controlling a drying operation based on the judgement of the judging means 30. Thus, even in the case of entering a drying-decreasing-rate period without an exhaust temperature being stabilized in a fixed state, drying is ended in an appropriate drying state and non-drying and over-drying are prevented.
