PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy astringency removing treatment method for tea beverage containing high concentration catechin having a health maintenance function, and at the same time, decreasing astringency thereof without destroying deliciousness and body. SOLUTION: This astringency removing treatment method for the tea beverage decreased in astringency without destroying deliciousness and body comprises subjecting a tea extract to tannase treatment in a condition of containing high concentration catechin.
