PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress biased winding with line slack in a double bearing reel without a level winding mechanism. SOLUTION: A line slack-preventing member 50 for preventing the line slack when a fishing line is delivered to the front is demountably mounted in a front connecting member 12 arranged between a first side plate 10 and a second side plate 11. The line slack-preventing member 50 is provided with a mounting part 52 mounted in the front connecting member 12 and a guide part 51 installed extendedly from the mounting part 52 on the front side of the spool 15, passing the fishing line delivered from the spool 15 in the front and the rear directions and regulating the moving range of the fishing line in the right and the left directions.
