PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone with a camera capable of using a photoflash as much as possible even at a low battery voltage when the use of the photoflash is conventionally prohibited to avoid a danger that the use of the photoflash may drop the battery voltage of the mobile phone low enough to make it inoperative. SOLUTION: When the battery voltage detected by a battery voltage detector 104 is lower than a first voltage, with which the use of the photoflash is inhibited in the conventional manner, and at least a second voltage at the time a battery temperature of a power sauce portion 101 detected by a temperature detection portion 103 is low, a driving current from a DC/DC converter 110 of a light emitting element 120 is switched on/off by a transistor 130 corresponding to a signal from a pulse width modulated signal generating portion 142 so as to lower luminance by less amount of driving current than a normal amount, thus controlling a degree of the battery voltage drop.
