PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass terminal for preventing sticking-out of a conductive pin to the outside by inner pressure and for inhibiting flowing-out of internal refrigerant gas to the outside when a glass sealed portion of the glass terminal for a hermetic compressor is broken. SOLUTION: The conductive pin 6 is provided on a middle portion with a cylindrical protrusion 11 having an outer diameter larger than a hole 12 in a substrate. This prevents sticking-out of the conductive pin to the outside by the inner pressure and prevents flowing-out of the internal refrigerant gas to the outside. The conductive pin is formed in a shape that is bent at 90°in an inside of a sealed container and is bent back at 90°again beyond a width C larger than an inner diameter of the substrate hole 12.
