PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain dimensional change due to thermal shrinkage without impairing workability. SOLUTION: A core material 10 for a Tatami mat floor for floor heating comprises a plate-like base material 30 made of mineral fibers with less thermal shrinkage, thin plate-like reinforcing members 32 for reinforcing the base material 30 by sandwiching it from both of the obverse and reverse sides, and aluminum foil sheets 34 attached to the reinforcing members 32. To manufacture the core material 10 for the Tatami mat floor for floor heating, the base material 30 and two sheets of the reinforcing members 32 having the aluminum foil sheets 34 are prepared, in which each of the aluminum foil sheets 34 is attached to one face of each of the reinforcing members 32. The other face of each of the reinforcing members 32 is glued to each of the obverse and reverse sides of the base material 30 with an aqueous adhesive 36, which is then dried by means of high-frequency drying.
