PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which detects accurately a full state of shredding waste even if a disc is contained as an object to be shredded. SOLUTION: When the shredding waste falling from a shredding sector hits against a contact plate 43 at the condition of an initial position of a detected unit 39, the unit 39 swings in an arrow F direction, and the unit 39 is constructed so as to recover the initial position by the weight balance until the shredding waste slides from the contact plate 43 to a trash box 3, and reaches the full state. Further, when the shredding waste falls in a condition where the shredding waste is piled up until the vicinity of the detected unit 39, the unit 39 swings in an arrow E direction, but if when the shredding waste slides from the contact plate 43 and is piled up, a top of the mountain of shredding waste becomes higher than the height of the contact plate 43 at that time, the recovering operation to the initial position of the unit 39 is controlled by the shredding waste. When the regulation of the recovering operation forces a part of a detecting plate 45 to intrude into a detecting sector T of a photosensor 38 for a predetermined time, it is detected as a full state.
