PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staggering drum for conveying rod-shaped articles especially filter elements, arranged in at least two rows next to one another, and of a tobacco processing machine, especially a filter producing machine or a filter mounting machine, wherein conveyor disks each having one housing and set for lines of the articles are rapidly adaptable to different lengths. SOLUTION: This staggering drum 10 is so arranged that one of container parts 31 and 32 has at least two suction bores 42.1 and 42.2 operable at a negative pressure, wherein the suction bore 42.1, one of the at least two suction bores, is not blocked from the negative pressure in a transport area of the filter elements.
