PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent material for raising soil temperature which can simply and easily raise a cultivation soil temperature by solely inserting into the soil. SOLUTION: The material for raising the soil temperature is a structural matter comprising a light intake at one end and a tip having a shape which can be inserted into the soil at the other end. The structural matter comprises a transparent material having≥50% total light transmittance measured by JIS-7361-1 and has 0.2-2m length and a groove and/or a through hole for releasing the light on the surface of a wall.
