The invention relates to a method of producing a device (1) for the multipath transmission of a pyrotechnic command, consisting of a lateral transmission pyrotechnic relay (14) which is equipped with a casing (22) comprising a flat portion (26) that is disposed facing the ends (36) of a plurality of input and output pyrotechnic lines (6). According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps consisting in: placing an axial transmission detonating cord comprising a casing in a groove (20) provided in the device; and press-forming the axial transmission detonating cord in the groove, such that said formed detonating cord constitutes the lateral transmission pyrotechnic relay.
