<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink excellent in dispersion stability and discharge stability, and capable of getting a recorded product which gives an image excellent in fastness, rubbing resistance and color development, and has high print density and difficulty in bleeding of the image, and to provide a microcapsulated pigment capable of producing the ink and its manufacturing method, and an aqueous dispersion. <P>SOLUTION: The microcapsulated pigment is obtained by covering pigment particles having cationic groups on their surfaces with a polymer having repeating structural units derived from at least an anionic polymerizable surfactant. The manufacturing method of a microcasulated pigment comprises mixing an aqueous dispersion of pigment particles having cationic groups on their surfaces after adding an anionic polymerizable surfactant, and polymerizing it in water by adding a polymerization initiator after adding an ionic polymerizable surfactant and further mixing it.
