DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING TEMPERATURE OF PATIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device such as a CVC, a peripheral catheter or an introducer which arranges a placement for correctly measuring the temperature of the blood.

SOLUTION: The device for measuring the temperature of a temperature medium in a patient is an extruded elongate access device body made so as to fit in a size of a housing main body. The access device body is equipped with; the access device body which has a thermal mass at previously determined position in the proximal and distal ends, the exterior wall and the device body between the proximal and distal ends; a temperature sensor at previously determined position in the device body; and an insulating member of which the material is different from that of the device body and which is extruded with the device body lengthening between the temperature sensor and the thermal mass.
