<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication system monitoring the quality of voice signals reproduced at a terminal side without using a special monitoring device. <P>SOLUTION: A cable modem 2A measures the voice quality of received voice signals in a state in which a telephone 3A is engaged in a call using a coaxial cable 4A.
