<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which reflection display performance in a reflection display region and transmission display performance in a transmission display region are compatible with each other, then, satisfactory image quality can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal panel having a first substrate 110 disposed on a non-display surface side, a second substrate 120 disposed opposite to the first substrate 110 and a liquid crystal layer 130 interposed between the first and the second substrates 110 and 120. The liquid crystal panel is constituted of a first region B in which an image can be displayed by a reflection display system and a second region A which is different from the first region and in which an image can be displayed by a transmission display system, wherein a cell gap in the first region B and a cell gap in the second region A are different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
