PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which gate loss does not contribute significantly to power distribution in the system even when a high switching frequency is used. SOLUTION: A DC-DC converter comprises first and second switches outputting a voltage, respectively, on a first and second output terminals in response to an appropriate turn-on voltage at first and second control terminals, respectively. The first control terminal communicates with one of N (N>2) different voltages selectively. The converter may comprises a multilevel control section leading to the first control terminal which has N drivers for applying the N (N>2) different voltages selectively to the first control terminal.
