PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized electromagnetic wave spectroscope with high wavelength resolving power regarding a spectroscopic analysis technique aiming at qualitative/quantitative analysis for substances. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic wave spectroscope 10 is equipped with: a wavelength selection filter 13 for selectively transmitting specific wavelength componentsλ<SB>2</SB>,λ<SB>4</SB>, ... ,λ<SB>2n</SB>, ... of an inputted electromagnetic wave P; a wavelength scanning means 14 for continuously changing the wavelengths of the transmitted specific wavelength components; a diffraction grating 12 for separating the plurality of transmitted specific wavelength components by wavelength; and a plurality of output ends 11b continuously provided on an irradiation surface irradiated with the electromagnetic wave diffracted by the diffraction grating 12. The filter 13 selects the specific wavelength components so that they are outputted from different output ends respectively. The scanning means 14 continuously varies the wavelengths of the specific wavelength components so that each of the respective specific wavelength components scans the interior of a specific and single output end or adjoining output ends.
