The invention relates to methods for selecting compounds able to bind to the mycobacterial repressor EthR, said bond preventing the repressor from repressing the expression of the mycobacterial gene ethA coding EthA, the bioactivator of ethionamide. The invention also relates to the compounds inhibiting the repressor EthR, and to the therapeutic applications thereof.
