<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely adjusting an image forming condition by easy control. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted so that a density patch image Z is formed on a photoreceptor drum 3 and the density of the density patch image is detected by a patch image detector 67 in adjusting processing. In the adjusting processing, when the density patch image Z passes through a position in contact with a transfer electrode roller 6A on the drum 3, potential having the same polarity as developer is applied to the roller 6A, and a transfer carrying unit and the drum 3 are set to a non-contact state by providing a prescribed gap in between. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
