PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing processing resources in a mobile radio system. SOLUTION: In one aspect, the present invention provides a method of managing the processing resources in the mobile radio system, in which a "first" entity manages radio resources and corresponding processing resources which are provided in a different "second" entity. In the method, the second entity signals transmits a resource model representative of its processing capacity to the first entity, based on dispersion ratio and data rate. The first entity manages the processing resources, on the basis of the transmitted resource model, according to the dispersion ratio and of data rate for the allocated radio resources.
