PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for electrical insulation, capable of forming a coating excellent in adhesion to a conductor, abrasion resistance, and adhesion after thermal deterioration, while maintaining mechanical characteristics, heat resistance, flexibility, and electrical insulating characteristics required for an enameled wire, and to provide an enameled wire using it. SOLUTION: This resin composition for electrical insulation contains (A) a polyester imide resin having an isocyanurate ring in a molecule chain, (B) tetrazole expressed by the general formula (1), [R1 = H, NH<SB>2</SB>, Ch<SB>3</SB>, SH, Ar (aromatic ring), R<SB>2</SB>= H, CH<SB>3</SB>, Ar (aromatic ring)], and (C) polyether imide, and this enamel wire is formed by applying baking to this resin composition for electric insulation on the conductor.
