PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medium quality paper for a book, capable of dissolving an attaching problem caused on a polished face after polishing processing called Onaoshi (recovering of the book). SOLUTION: This medium quality paper is obtained by coating a treated clear sizing agent in 5-13% concentration on a paper sheet composed of 40-70 wt.% mechanical pulp in the components of which 50-100 wt.% is a pressurized stone-ground pulp, based on all pulp components, for the measure of the surface nature of the paper at printing so as to have 0.7-1.5 g/m<SP>2</SP>coated weight to prevent the entanglement between fibers on the polished face when carrying out the polishing of the book so-called Onaoshi.
