PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material comprising an amino resin and kenaf and affording the molding material having excellent electrical characteristics such as electrical insulating properties. SOLUTION: The molding material comprises the amino resin and the kenaf. Furthermore, the kenaf has≤600 ppm chloride ion content and≤200 ppm chloride ion content based on the total amount.
