PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which has strong suction force and can be used for a long time. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner has a cleaner body (not shown in Fig.) which contains a main electric battery 7, a motor-driven blower 2, and a control circuit 3 which controls input of the motor-driven blower 2, a charging circuit 11 for charging the main electric battery 7, a traveling means 9, and an auxiliary electric battery 12 and is provided with a charge table (not shown in Fig.) which can be removed from the cleaner body, and electric power is supplied to the motor-driven blower 2 from the main electric battery 7 and the auxiliary electric battery 12 when the charge table is connected with the cleaner body. Thereby, with assuring usability as both a floor moving type and a handheld type, powerful suction force, which has not been achieved when the electric battery 7 is employed alone, can be acquired.
