PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the physically disabled and the elderly to extremely simply and easily stand up after sitting. SOLUTION: This stand-up assisting chair comprises a base which is erected with a pair of left/right support legs having a predetermined interval and a predetermined height and having armrests in respective upper ends, and a seat 2 laid across the support legs on the base. The seat is supported to a spring member and vertically moves by a weight when sitting. In this case, the spring force of the spring member is set within a range fewer than the body weight of a person sitting thereon, the spring member is dividedly provided into a main member and a sub member, and the spring force of the sub member 5 operates inversely to that of the main member.
